3 day Programme in New Delhi - in partnership with India Development Foundation
Dates - 20th, 21st, 22nd of October, 2016
Working in development sector, managers need to create new interventions and designs to meet new goals and targets. These interventions and designs may include providing new services such as providing folic tablets to school children, or building a water harvesting systems in rural communities etc. There is a need to understand the impact that such interventions have, so as to be able to
- take decisions regarding continuation of the programme
- modify the programme
- replicate or scale up the programme
- understand the relationship between the expected impact and the real impact on the ground – what went right, what went wrong, and why?
Impact evaluation uses a basket of methodologies – quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods, cost-benefit analysis and so on to understand the impact. The course will expose participants to ideas and concepts with respect to impact evaluation, for them to be able to engage with impact evaluation processes in a meaningful way.
