Inderpreet has always been inquisitive about the society we live in and therefore, involved himself in several things during his college years in social sciences. He participated in surveys conducted by Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), Annual Status for Education Report (ASER) 2014 – 2015 and few more research projects. He says that participating in these surveys was the most gratifying part of his student life. He also interned with NGO’s such as Pratham, Vision India Foundation and Swaraj Abhiyan, which gave him the opportunity to travel to different parts of the country. This is where he became acquainted with grass root level problems and the right approach towards tackling them.

Based on his experience, he founded “I Responsible Amritsar” a student community to engage youth for public policy and civic issues. Within a short span of 1.5 years, the community raised 50 plus volunteers and he was recognized as Ashoka Youth Venturer 2016 by the Ashoka Foundation.

After finishing college, he identified his area of interest and decided to form a social venture called SPEEE (Society for Productive Engagement and Entertainment for Elderly), through which he envisions a paradigm shift in the social and economic participation of elders in society.
