A peacebuilder, design engineer, correspondent, climate activist, music lover- there are many phrases Mridul enjoys trying on him to describe what he sees himself as. Keeping youth and peaceful social development in focus, he has been working on several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at community, national and international levels through ground projects, activism, training and policy advocacy for last 9 years.
Along with being Asia Coordinator at UNOY and a trustee at Youth for Peace International, he holds a diverse experience of supporting several other national and international platforms - YourCommonwealth.Org as correspondent, Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador Network (CYPAN), Callisto Art & Culture, Commonwealth Youth Council, Commonwealth Youth Climate Change Network, CYSDP, Bold International, Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture amongst Youth, Rotaract Club & Cheshire Homes.
Mridul was chosen as ‘Commonwealth Young Achiever' - Youth Peace Ambassador, and was awarded The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award 2016. He is the first Indian to receive the prestigious ‘American Society of Mechanical Engineers Foundation Scholarship'. He represented India in Indo-Korea Intergovernmental Youth Exchange program 2012, Commonwealth Youth Forum 2013, Asia Region Youth Ministers Meetings, YouthCAN Lab Malaysia 2017, UN Asia Regional Youth Peace Security Consultation 2017 and as first team from India and South Asia to qualify and win a special prize in International Snow Sculpting Championship USA.
