Maharshi Vaishnav is Educate Girls’ Chief Operating Officer. He leads a team of over 2,200 passionate changemakers across over 18,000 villages of India, who are committed to identifying and enrolling the most marginalized out-of-school girls, retaining them in schools, and ensuring that they learn well. In his previous role as head of fundraising at Educate Girls, he managed a team that successfully raised over $60M in 5 years.

Prior to Educate Girls, Maharshi was on a research fellowship with the Grameen Foundation in South-East Asia, where he evaluated mobile technology solutions for women micro-entrepreneurs. Before making a conscious switch to international development, Maharshi spent a decade in various roles across the private sector. Maharshi holds graduate degrees in Public Policy and Business.
