Sourodip Ghosh

Sourodip is the Director of Vayati Foundation, a non-profit that works with the weaver communities of Yemmiganur, Andhra Pradesh. He is also the co-founder of Karghewale, an incubator of artisan-promoted micro-enterprises organised as a social enterprise. Until recently, he served as the Executive Director of The Handloom School, a unique educational institution for the young handloom artisans of India promoted by WomenWeave, a charitable trust based in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, conceived from the organisation's belief that young weavers were capable of building sustainable livelihoods if given the requisite training and support to engage in trade negotiations directly. Sourodip holds a degree in Rural Management from Institute of Rural Management Anand, and has over 7 years' of experience across corporate and non-profit sectors.
