ISDM’s philosophy is to constantly evolve, grow and conceptualise together, by learning from each other. Teaching and learning are not mutually exclusive - they go hand in hand.
Collaboration is at the core of learning at ISDM. Students are exposed to varied sectoral perspectives, and to activities like fish bowl, debate and HOT conversations (Honest, Open and Transparent). Open and honest discussion and dialogue is encouraged, along with problem based learning, group work and peer to peer learning. Student led committees at ISDM form the intertwining thread in the lives of ISDM students.
‘Baaithak’ is a fortnightly space where the entire ISDM community of students and staff come together for celebrations. ISDM also has a course called ‘Realizing India – Social and Cultural Aspects’ integrated in every term to enlighten us on the rich history and society of India from a development lens.
Heritage walks, performances by eminent artists and guest lectures also add to the ISDM experience. ISDM also has an extensive library on campus.
Overall, ISDM is a school that aims to build a culture of learning and leadership among its students on campus.
