Aruna Pandey

PhD (SOAS, University of London), MSW (TISS - Mumbai).

Aruna comes with more than 2 decades of deep engagement in domains of Natural Resource Governance, Institution Building, Organisation Studies and Sustainable Livelihoods. She started her career with IIM-Ahmedabad and the HoneyBee network, leading an international applied research project to foster innovation and knowledge exchange amongst communities and modern science institutions. She moved on to lead and manage multiple initiatives with national and international agencies. She has received the Young Analyst Award from EU and DPG, the prestigious M. K. Tata Prize, the NTPC gold medal for her research at TISS (Mumbai) and the Felix Scholarship Trust award for her PhD at SOAS.
Aruna currently works as a consultant, developing research and intervention strategies that embed systems thinking and equity in non-profit initiatives. She also teaches post-graduate courses on Environment and Development, Systems Design and Research Methods. Until recently, Aruna served as the Director for Research at the Indian School of Development Management.
