Shashi Nair

Professor, Purposeful Program Theory

Shashi is a seeker, practitioner and teacher in inward journeys of well-being, and outward journeys of complex systemic change. Blessed with the good fortune to experience deep states of well-being and appreciating the struggles of so many adults, youth, and children to move to such states, he feels deeply compelled to work in this area.

This has led him to questions like: “How can we create a movement for well-being in India? How can we tap into the energy of the vast number of individuals who care about the well-being of youth and children to create such a movement? What can be done to ensure that various programs that introduce adults, youth, and children to well-being, lead to sustaining and deepening their well-being?”

An alumnus of IIT Madras and IIM Bangalore, Shashi has 27 years of experience in the corporate sector in organisations like L&T, and NIIT. Of this, 14 years was as a CEO, scaling an IT Training and Consultancy from its infancy. He has over 15 years of experience in the social sector, particularly school education systems, having worked in Azim Premji Foundation and Azim Premji University. Currently, Shashi is a Founding Director of Viridus Social Impact Solutions, a Trustee of Kiirti Trust and a co-initiator of the Well-Being Movement.
