Profile: Maitrayee is a bricoleur and faculty at the Indian School of Development Management. She has over twenty years of work experience, including four in the software industry and twelve years of teaching courses on Information Systems, Data Science and Business Analytics, Public Policy, and General Management. Prior to ISDM, she taught at the Central University of Gujarat, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technologies, and the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur.

Her doctoral dissertation looked at the pattern of access and use of telecentres by households in rural India, drawing implications for policy and practice. It is published as a book titled ICTs and Development: A Study of Telecentres in Rural India, by Palgrave Macmillan (UK) 2013. Her research on Digital Platforms and the Digital Divide is published in the Australasian Journal of Information Systems, Information Technology and Development, and Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries. Her current research interests include organisational and societal level changes brought about by data and technology.
