Ishita deeply committed to bridging the gap between the availability and accessibility of rights for Indian citizens. Her work focuses on facilitating awareness and empowerment through a constitutional lens, particularly among historically marginalised communities.

She has conducted capacity-building sessions with diverse stakeholders including community leaders, women, tribal and Dalit groups, religious minorities, youth, persons with disabilities, and transgender individuals, enabling them to advance sustainable development using constitutional tools and frameworks. At We The People Abhiyan, she works as a Facilitator, manages a team of facilitators across geographies, and develops both standardised and contextualised content to strengthen citizen education and engagement with constitutional values.
