
Nikita Rakhyani
Nikita Rakhyani is a certified participatory researcher, trainer, and expert in youth engagement with over seven years of experience across India and the Global South. She has worked with more than 3,000 young people across Asia on issues such as active citizenship, social accountability, democracy, urban governance, digital literacy, and climate change. She has conducted numerous participatory research studies with women, men, and adolescents in urban and rural India, focusing on climate adaptation, digital trust, mobility, and the needs and aspirations of low-income communities.
Currently, she leads the PRIA International Academy, which offers learning programs for students and development professionals, and serves as a Rising Star Mentor with People Powered. She believes that empowering local communities and fostering civic and democratic responsibility are essential for driving meaningful social change.
Education: Postgraduate degree in Development Communication and Extension from the University of Delhi.
