Profile: Rashmi is a development professional with over three decades of experience designing and implementing initiatives focused on child rights, education, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), livelihoods, and women’s empowerment. She specialises in piloting and scaling programs with an emphasis on systemic reforms, sustainability, and community ownership, and has established models of community-owned early childhood care centres in marginalised areas.

She has been instrumental in nurturing community-based organisations, cooperatives, and producer companies, enabling communities to lead their own development processes. With a postgraduate degree in Social Work, she has collaborated extensively with national and international NGOs as well as government bodies, championing inclusive, community-driven approaches to sustainable development.
