
Sujatha Rao
Sujatha Rao is deeply committed to the democratization of work, workplaces, education, and learning. Her practice focuses on building technology-enabled learning platforms that provide individualized and flexible pathways, especially for non-institutional learners. She works through design thinking and participatory, collaborative problem-solving approaches to support organisations addressing complex social and developmental challenges.
She co-founded Chaabee, a social enterprise supporting out-of-school learners and individuals seeking flexible schooling pathways through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), offering multilingual digital learning support and vocational skilling. She also co-founded Viridus Social Impact Solutions, where she works on purposeful organisational design and leadership development for social impact, and mentors social entrepreneurs and organisational design consultants. Sujatha co-hosts the Workwise Pod, a podcast on building fair and empathetic workplaces, and provides academic consulting on curriculum design, pedagogy, and faculty development. She serves as an academic advisor to ISDM and Globalschoolleaders.org and is on the advisory board of ShikshaLokam.
Education: PhD in Organisational Studies from the University of Sydney.
