Anup K. Pujari

Professor, Economic Reasoning and Public Policy

Dr. Pujari has been a Civil Servant and a teacher of Economics for more than four decades. In the Civil Services, he had held various positions both in the Government of India and the State Government of Karnataka. He retired from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 2016 as Secretary to the Government of India heading the Ministry of MSME (Micro Small and Medium Enterprises). Other posts held are Secretary Mining, Secretary Steel, CMD of SAIL (Addl Charge), DGFT, Joint Secretary DEA, Ministry of Finance (all at Delhi); Principal Secretary IT, BT, Sc & Tech, MD of KFCSC, MD of KAPPEC, MD or KSMB, Dy Commissioner of Shimoga and Dakshina Kannada Districts, and Special Commissioner Commercial Taxes (all in Karnataka). He is also enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council of Delhi.
