Seeta Prabhu is currently Visiting Professor and Senior Advisor, SDGs at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She is a leading exponent of the human development approach and spearheaded the preparation of Human Development Reports across 26 Indian States as Head of Human Development Resource Centre, UNDP, India. The positions she occupied include Tata Chair Professor and Director, Prime Minister's Rural Development Fellows programme at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Professor of Development Economics, University of Mumbai. Her latest publications are “Human Development in an Unequal World”(Oxford University Press,2019) co-authored with Sandhya Iyer and Making Development Happen: Transformational Change in Rural India( Orient Blackswan, 2020) co-edited with S. Parasuraman.
