
Mudit Kapoor
Mudit Kapoor is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), New Delhi. His research focuses on development economics, gender, and political economy. His current work involves applying data and analytics in healthcare with the aim of converting data into actionable information for better decision-making. He has collaborated with large public and private health institutions to improve performance in areas such as resource utilization and antimicrobial stewardship.
He has also partnered with research think tanks to democratize health-related information by developing tools such as a Health Monitor Index to assess government performance at the district level. In addition, he has conducted research with Prof. Antoinette Schoar on chit funds as an innovative source of finance for low-income households. His academic work has been published in several international journals, and he teaches the course State, Market and Society.
