Pia Bakshi is a Doctoral Scholar in English whose research focuses on the ethics of remembrance in relation to colonial pasts. Alongside her academic work, she founded PhilARThropy, an artist collective committed to bringing art education to underserved spaces. Afterwards, she co-founded ARTmosphere. She has also taught writing seminars at Ashoka University and Panjab University.

She is the author of the work of fiction Read/Read, published in July 2018, and serves as the resident scriptwriter for the theatre production firm, The Idea Box. She teaches Writing Perception for the course Writing in the Discipline.
