Vidya is a leading philanthropy and social impact leader in India, best known as the Executive Chairperson of EdelGive Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Edelweiss Group. She founded EdelGive in 2008 and has since built it into one of India’s foremost strategic philanthropy platforms, supporting over 150 grassroots organisations through funding, capacity building, and ecosystem partnerships. Her work focuses on strengthening nonprofit institutions and enabling collaborative philanthropy across sectors such as livelihoods, education, and women’s empowerment.

Prior to her transition into the social sector, Vidya had a distinguished career in investment banking and corporate leadership, including roles at ICICI Bank, Peregrine, NM Rothschild, and as CFO of Edelweiss Group. She serves on the boards of several prominent organisations, including Akshaya Patra Foundation, Agastya International Foundation, Janaagraha, and Ashoka University’s Centre for Social Impact and Philanthropy, contributing to the growth of India’s philanthropic and development ecosystem.
